Responsibilities

Reports to the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Hospital. Serves as a member of the Hospital leadership team with functional responsibility for the financial and revenue cycle aspects of the $250 million integrated healthcare system that provides general acute care with a full range of inpatient and outpatient services, alcohol and substance abuse services and primary care clinics serving the Southern Westchester community.

 

Leadership and management of the financial organization general accounting, payroll and accounts payable functions, business office billing, credit and collection operations, negotiation of managed care company commercial insurance contracts, medical records, registration/scheduling services, preparation of financial reports and analysis, cash forecasting to meet both internal and NYS DOH reporting responsibilities, investment portfolio management and decision making for retirement plans, securing short and long term financing to support liquidity and operational needs, implementation and monitoring of internal controls, lead the annual financial audit and US GAAP reporting and disclosure requirements, annual operational budgeting process, the IRS and NYS tax compliance and annual reporting requirements, insurance and risk management responsibilities that includes the annual business insurance policy renewals as well as serving as vice-chair of the RHCS Bermuda Ltd captive insurance company governance Board and oversight of the Hospital’s Federal and NYS reimbursement and regulatory cost reporting requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting with preference towards a licensed certified public accountant with public accounting healthcare related experience and/or an MBA degree with hospital based related experience. Minimum fifteen years in a senior financial leadership role within a healthcare organization and the ideal candidate will have experience as a sitting Chief Financial Officer with a complex healthcare organization. Experience in the New York healthcare environment considered a plus. Proven experience leading positive change in a financially challenging environment. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills. Experience in developing and building high performing and motivated financial teams.
