The Coordinator, Laboratory Services is responsible for facilitating office-related functions in the Laboratory & Pathology Department. The Coordinator, Laboratory Services assists the Pathologists, histology technical staff and laboratory staff in maintaining department communications and the transcription/transmittal of reports. In addition, the Coordinator, Laboratory Services performs a variety of duties related to communicating and interacting with physician’s and other offices on a daily basis. The Coordinator, Laboratory Services demonstrates professional behavior during all interactions with patients, internal and external customers, and colleagues. The Coordinator, Laboratory Services reports to the Administrative Director and the Medical Director, St. John’s Riverside Hospital Laboratory and performs office-related functions of the laboratory and pathology departments.
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Minimum of 2 years of medical terminology experience required; Minimum of 2 years of clinical accessioning experience required; Strong computer, organizational and communications skills required. Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
